The first bilingual home expo for Hispanics in New York City’s tri-state area. Parents and children alike will have the opportunity to attend workshops and activities hosted by stars of Vme TV’s original line-up and characters from its unique offering of preschool programming. The event will take place on November 9, 2013 in New York’s Altman Building from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Throughout the day, Vme TV will provide audiences with beneficial, lifestyle-focused presentations, such as a parenting session with
Minerva Borjas, host of the network’s original parenting program,
“TuBebe”. Borjas will provide mothers with important and helpful information for understanding the stages of pregnancy, baby proofing the home and tips on how they can better connect with their babies.
Chef Hamlet Garcia, host of Vme TV’s original program, “Sazon para el Mundo”, will also be on hand to cook up some favorite Latin dishes and share recipes that participants can enjoy with family and friends. As one of Vme TV’s most popular programs, Chef Hamlet offers international culinary tips for viewers, inviting them to learn about the cuisine of different cultures throughout the world.
The event’s message, “Improve Your Home, Improve Your Life,” which encourages attendees to better all aspects of their home lives in order to create a secure home environment, will be reinforced through a variety of informative workshops and activities. Among them will be Su-Nui Escobar, registered nutritionist and dietician for the “got milk?”® campaign, who will be present to answer any questions attendees may have about the benefits of milk and will give away a year’s worth of free milk to one lucky family.
