Penélope Cruz quien cumplirá 40 años el próximo año es uno de los nombres que se barajan para interpretar a la figura femenina del que será el 24º filme del agente secreto británico y que probablemente contará con el mismo director que Skyfall, Sam Mendes.
“Los productores han intentado conseguir a Penélope en ocasiones anteriores pero nunca ha estado disponible, se encontraba con otros proyectos entre manos. Recientemente han vuelto a sopesar la posibilidad y en estos momentos están negociando los detalles del contrato”, explicó una fuente cercana a la producción de la cinta de acción al periódico Mail on Sunday.
Así, Penélope quien está actualmente embarazada de su segundo hijo con el también actor Javier Bardem, antagonista en la última entrega de James Bond será la chica Bond de más edad desde Honor Blackman, quien interpretó a Pussy Galore cuando tenía 39 años, en la popular película Goldfinger, estrenada en 1962.
“Se ha puesto en forma rápidamente tras su primer embarazo y tiene pensado hacer lo mismo con el segundo. Va a ser una chica Bond excepcional; siempre son inteligentes además de sexys, y ese perfil es completamente el de Penélope”, añadió la fuente.
