A wonderful play debuted at the Macha Theater (Mujeres Advancing in Culture and Art) this past week. The play depicts the final days of Frida Kahlo’s life. Odalys Nanin who wrote, directed and acts in Frida-Stroke of Passion always knew she would write a play about the controversial artist, telling Latin in Style that Frida became her muse.
Not only admiring the artist, but falling in love with her. Frida – Stroke of Passion is filled with emotions, love and excitement. It is definitely, a must see! Other actors in the play include, Campbell de Silva as Diego Rivera, Marisa Lopez as Chavela Vargas, Ebony Perry as Josephine Baker and Paul Cascante as Leon Trotsky.
