NETFLIX CELEBRATES MEXICAN ENTERTAINMENT HEROES ON MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY
This September 16th, Netflix celebrates the new national entertainment heroes, who through their great work, both in front of and behind the camera, have placed the name of Mexico high around the world.
As an Internet entertainment company, Netflix is uniquely positioned to bring stories and Mexican talent to Hispanics living in the United States. Netflix members in the United States have laughed and cried with stories of national filmmakers such as Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Amores Perros), Guillermo del Toro (Trollhunters), Gary Alazraki (Raven Club), Manolo Caro (Elvira, I would give you my life , but I’m using it) and Gerardo Naranjo (Narcos), to mention a few.
Both new and veteran filmmakers are changing the way stories are told in Mexico and Netflix is proud to have them as part of the catalog it offers to its more than 104 million members. There is there a great diversity of actors, directors and producers of content within the platform.
In addition to the emerging national talent, those who managed a few years ago to make the leap to Hollywood also have a home in Netflix, where their newest and oldest stories continue to connect with new fans in Mexico and the world; such as Salma Hayek (Septembers of Shiraz), Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin), Karla Souza (How to Get Away with the Murder), Demián Bichir (Sex, Shame and Tears), Alfonso Herrera,(Rogue One) and Gael Garcia (Desert).
So, this Mexican patriotic month, Netflix invites you to celebrate with the Mexican entertainment heroes.
